“Sabir”-To be patent and to endure,.
The collaborative textiles workshop held at the Friends Meeting House on Saturday 16th October was a true reflection of this.
The room was full of women and children, from the UK, Syria, Sudan, Georgia, Afghanistan, amongst others!
We drank delicious tea , created embroidered pieces for a tapestry. and tried our hand at leaf printing,
The children painted and played, and we all talked – a lot!
It was a day of creativity and friendship, bound together by tea and shared experiences.
Our thanks go to all those people who made it possible, in particular, Matilda and Kate, Betty’s , The Cone Exchange, The Quakers and Useful Productions- and our budding artists!!
